Hi. We're Little Lost Angeles.
As our hometown has gotten bigger, it's become harder to recognize.
We're dedicated to digging up our lost/forgotten/paved-over past and preserving precious memories of the people, places, and events that shaped Los Angeles - then and now.
Other people have social lives...we spend Friday nights digging through old city directories and digitized issues of long-defunct newspapers.
When a local heritage group needed information on a forgotten local figure for an event, they called us. When another historian was searching for the final resting place of a long-ago politician, he called us. And we have never been more flattered than when a Ph.D called one of us "an extremely careful researcher".
We are best known for scale models of lost Los Angeles landmarks (hence "Little Lost Angeles"), although we haven't found a good way to exhibit them (yet).
We also lead history tours, which are on hold until the COVID-19 risk has passed.
